@itssimplysav is simply remarkable!

We are so excited to bring back Tips for Twirlers this Tuesday! This weekend would have been AYOP and we know that Savannah Miller has many tips on surviving the Blue Curtain!

- I am a huge believer in the concept that any dream is possible if you have the courage to pursue it! The idea of failing is a mental game. You can allow it to crush you and your dreams or you can use it as a learning experience to grow and become your best self! There’s no such thing as failing in my eyes - that’s what keeps me going! That and also the crazy amount of love and support from my family and friends who encourage me through it all to know what the dream is and to always keep fighting for it!

- My biggest motivation right now is knowing what it feels like to twirl for myself and for nothing else! When you realize that you twirl for the passion you have for the sport, your entire perspective on this sport and on life changes! This mindset pushes you to take risks and truly become stronger, physically and mentally, which is something I never thought possible for myself!

- There have been a lot of hard tricks to accomplish in my career but the one that took the longest to get was my classic calypso roll catch in the splits on my back! It may look easier than it actually is but the timing was the hardest for me to nail and make second nature!

- My message is to never give up on your dreams no matter what that may look like! Don’t let yourself get discouraged by what others are doing or accomplishing. You aren’t them - you are you and that’s pretty amazing! No one else gets to be you! Some of the best words of wisdom I ever received from my coach, Dale White, was to “never forget who you are!” You are all on a journey that is uniquely yours, so enjoy the ride, fight for your dreams and don’t let anyone or anything hold you back from doing just that! ❤️

- I am most looking forward to starting the next chapter of my life! Not exactly sure what that looks like right now but what I do know is that I am excited to stay involved in the sport of baton twirling as much as possible! I hope to still travel the world to teach baton twirling, eventually become a judge for both organizations and serve in leadership positions so that I can help take this sport to the next level. As far as outside the twirling world, I’m not sure what that looks like right now but boy am I excited to venture into the unknown world to find what that might be!

Thank you so much Savannah for being such an inspiration for so many twirlers in the twirling community!
